About Scenic Rim BBQ Facilities

Scenic Rim Regional Council maintains 129 parks (426 hectares) and 43 playgrounds. BBQ facilities are available for public use at various locations.

Can I bring my own BBQ to parks in Scenic Rim?

<p>During <strong>Local Fire Bans</strong> in Queensland:</p><ul><li><strong>Gas and electric BBQs</strong> are permitted</li><li><strong>Charcoal, wood-fired and heat bead BBQs</strong> are prohibited</li></ul><p>Check the <a href="https://www.fire.qld.gov.au/safety-education/using-fire-outdoors/fire-bans-and-restrictions">Queensland Fire Department website</a> for current fire bans.</p>

Can I book a BBQ facility for exclusive use?

<p>Parks can be booked for events. Fees apply as per the Register of Fees and Charges.</p><p>Contact Council at 82 Brisbane Street, Beaudesert or phone (07) 5540 5111.</p>

How do I report a fault or issue with a BBQ facility?

If you encounter issues with a BBQ facility, please report them to Scenic Rim. Common issues include:

  • BBQ not working - not heating, ignition problems, gas issues
  • Damaged facilities - broken hotplates, damaged tables/shelters
  • Safety hazards - exposed wiring, structural damage
  • Cleanliness issues - excessive grease buildup, vandalism
